1. Hatch
If you've been following me for a while, you probably remember my post venting about social media. I mentioned I started to use an app to block some apps from my phone in certain periods of time, but there was still one problem: my morning routine. A lot of us use our phones as alarm clocks, and that was not working for me anymore. Having my phone close by in the morning was just an excuse to open my email or scroll whatever app was available for me at that time (I had blocked IG already).
So I decided to buy the famous Hatch - a smart alarm clock with a lot of features. And perhaps the most useful one for me was the sunrise alarm. It mimics a natural dawn to gently wake you up with light before your alarm sounds. This gradual exposure to light prompts your brain to release cortisol, the hormone that cues your body to wake naturally and gently." I always thought this was some kind of marketing lie, but I was wrong. Usually, I wake up before the alarm sounds, which, by the way, is way more gentle and smooth. You can choose from birds, flutes, etc, and you can also choose how long before the alarm clock the sunrise light starts.
You can also set a bedtime routine with meditations and lights - but I confess I've never used those features. In reality, to have access to some features, you have to pay for a subscription, which I was not willing to pay for it at the moment.
So, was it worth it? ABSOLUTELY! I know we are all tired of hearing the same old conversation about how waking up and checking your phone is prejudicial - and I'm just here to say that, well, it is true. The impact this change of habit had on my mourning routine is insane.
And yes, I know Hatch is not a cheap alarm clock, but there are other similar alarm clocks in the market. But in case you're wondering, I didn't pay full price - I found a great deal on Woot.
2. Quince linen sheets
We decided to upgrade our bed from a queen size to a king size this year, and besides a bed frame and a mattress, we also needed to upgrade pillows, duvets, and sheets, of course. And I decided to finally try linen sheets - yes, they can be really expensive, but Quince offers sheet sets for a very reasonable price. And I understood the hype on the first night we tried it. It feels so luxurious, like an expensive hotel bed. Don't know why it took me so long.
3. Luxome Pajama Set
Got this set as a gift from the brand, and it is so comfortable and soft! For me, it's perfect for those Spring or Fall days when it is not cold but not super hot. The fabric feels so good on your skin; it is super smooth and lightweight.
4. Bonds Underwear
An influencer I follow posted about this Australian underwear brand, and since I needed some undies and a bra, I decided to give it a chance. I love the fit, love the fabric, love the fact that the bras are wireless but still provide support, and love the high-waisted undies (but they do have other cuts as well). So so so comfortable! Highly recommend!
5. IT Cosmetics new concealer
I have always been amazed by It Cosmetics products. I featured some of them in my favorites of the year, and this new Do It All Radiant Concealer didn't disappoint. I'm amazed by how this product covers “imperfections” and still provides a natural coverage. You could easily use it by itself without applying foundation.
6. ON Performance Short Tights
It's relatively easy to find women's leggings with lots of pockets, but you can't say the same about shorts. Now that the weather is warm, I usually prefer shorts over leggings for running, and I'm so glad my friend recommended these shorts from ON! It features three pockets, fits amazingly, and it is super comfortable.
7. Oat cleansing balm
Are you applying your sunscreen daily? And most importantly, are you removing it? Our regular cleansing products don't remove sunscreen and makeup properly. So here's an affordable and good product to do that. You're welcome!
And that's a wrap! I hope you enjoyed this round of recs - and let me know if you have been trying some exciting products lately!
I love this cleansing balm! As for pocketed shorts, have you tried old navy’s? They’re really good, too!
